GOALS:
Goals
are to be attended to…
Tutors,
help your students identify a goal. Some
goals are short term, like obtaining a driver’s license or managing a checking
account. Some goals are long term,
like obtaining a GED or becoming a citizen of this country.
Goals
may change and that’s okay. Identifying
goals gives you and your student a destination.
This may sound like you are on a journey… you are!
Every journey must have a destination and then plans must be made as to
how you will reach your destination. You
will need to “map out” a route. As
you look at the route, it will become clear to both of you that you are on or
off target. If you are off target, you can make adjustments.
Adults
come to the Council because they have a need to improve their skills to
accomplish something. It is
imperative that we help them make it through their journey.
Let’s not make it a journey of a lifetime, but a journey to begin a new
lifetime!
If
you need assistance, don’t hesitate to call the office. Thank you for all that
you do.
